Please read the following terms and conditions of OU! SAKE Institute (abbreviated as ‘OU SAKE’) carefully before filing the applications：
1. 学员须正确填写并提交报名申请表至欧烁 ，并确保申请表上提供的信息是真实而准确的，相关处需公司主管签名认可。为保证授课质量，我们严格控制每期名额，并按照先到先得原则以报名顺序录取。
Applicants should make sure that all information given in the application form and the attached documents are, to the best of his/her knowledge, accurate and complete and if necessary, approved with a genuine signature of the applicant’s employer. To guarantee the quality of the program, OU Sake strictly restricts the size of the classes, and candidates will be admitted under the rule of first-come-first-served.
Submitting the application does not necessarily mean a guaranteed place on any of the courses. Full payment must be made at time of booking, and places will only be confirmed once payment is received. Students will then receive a booking confirmation. No booking in advance will be accepted.
Cancellation policy: Cancellations of confirmed places must be communicated in written forms. They are accepted up to 10 working days prior to the start of the course. In this case, the entire cost of the confirmed place will be refunded. If the cancellation is communicated between 5 to 9 working days prior to the starting date of the course, there will be a 50 percent refund, after deducting the costs like buying textbooks and teaching handouts. If the cancellation is communicated after this period, the student will lose the right to a refund.
Amendment policy: Every student is entitled to make amendments to their paid courses free of charge for no more than once, though the request must be filed 10 working days prior to the start date of the course. If the request for amendments is communicated between 5 to 9 working days prior to the start date, a sum of 500 yuan of handling fees will be charged. The same charges will be made for a second or following amendment. No amendment will be accepted after the period. All amendments must be communicated in written forms.
5. 课程缺课与补课规章：进阶课程缺课一堂并不影响应试资格，但是讲师的解说与品饮练习对于考试准备非常重要，建议不要缺课。学员缺课时数超过总课程时数的三分之一时，必须给自己更多准备时间，应延至下一期课程再参加考试。 若遇缺课，将不再提供补课的安排。所有课程仅限报名申请表上的本人参加，学员不可将课程转让。请务必确认所有的课程时间都可以参加才报名。餐酒搭配也是课程的其中一个章节，若学员无法参加将视同缺课，无法安排补课，学员也不可将品酒餐会另外售与其他人。也无法以任何型式退回费用。开课前申请延期或退费请参阅条款3及条款4。
Rules for missed and make-up classes：One missed class is usually considered of little significance for the final test, but it is strongly advised to keep up with all of lecturers’ speeches on tasting and training, which will be very helpful for the final test. For those who have missed more than one third of the lessons, it’s better to postpone the examinations to the next course so as to win more time for preparation. No make-up classes will be given for missed ones. All classes have to be taken by the applicant as named on the application forms. No transfer is allowed. Food pairing is also an essential chapter of the course, which means no transfer is permitted as well, neither will there be any make-up, or refund if missed.
6. 考试重考与补考规章：若无法参加当期考试，请于考试前三个星期向欧烁提出，否则视同放弃第一次考试权利，之后可向欧烁申请补考。若考试没有通过，可协助您安排重考，重考与补考通常是与下一期学员一起考试，重/补考费用包含（• 考试资格申请• 测验费用• 证书费用）。各认证重/补考费用如下：
• SSI 初阶(Sake Navigator) RMB 800元
• SSI 进阶(International Kikisake-Shi/Sake Sommelier) RMB 1600元
Rules for examination re-sits：Cancellations of examinations must be communicated with OU Sake three weeks prior to the examination date. Otherwise it is considered a voluntary renounce of the first examination, though a second one can be applied with OU Sake. Students who have not passed the examination has the right to re-sit. The fees for resit are as below: （• application fee for examinations• fees for examinations• fees for certification）. Examination fees of different levels:
• SSI Sake Navigator RMB800
• SSI International Kikisake-Shi/Sake Sommelier RMB1600
All student need to provide photo ID and present it at the exam.
• SSI Sake Navigator 约3到4个星期
• SSI International Kikisake-shi 约4到6个星期
Examination papers of different levels of courses will be sent back to the headquarter in Japan for reviews. The time frames required for certificates of different levels to arrive at Shanghai are as below：
• SSI Sake Navigator - three to four weeks
• SSI International Kikisake-shi - four to six weeks
If absence is unavoidable due to illness or unexpected emergencies, OU Sake will try to allocate the student a place in the next available designated course. However, the rearrangement is NOT guaranteed. Please refer to term three for cancellation procedures.
All students are advised to develop a reasonable schedule so that the designated WSET/SSI courses wont be in conflict with your professional or personal commitments.
If a student is sponsored by his/her employer, please refer to term two for enrolment proceedings. That is to say a place will only be allocated once OU Sake has received FULL payment for the designated course. If the student ceases employment with his/her employer prior to the course, OU Sake is not liable to return the tuition to the employer. The above cancellation policy applies in all cases.
OU Sake has the right to cancel or postpone a course either in case the minimum number of students is not reached (10 ppl) or for logistics reasons. For eligible student, it can be rescheduled to next available class. If the student cannot make it to the rescheduled class, full refund can be applied.
OU Sake courses are open to everyone with a passion in sake, however, every applicant must be of legal drinking age in the country where you are attending the course.
At OU Sake, we strive to create an inclusive environment for all of our students and will make any reasonable attempt to provide support if you have any additional access or educational needs as a result of a disability.
OU Sake reserves the right to refuse and cancel the student's enrollment without any right to refund in case of record or video in the class, student's misbehavior/physical and verbal aggression towards any employees, students and third parties.
OU Sake recommends a moderate consumption of alcohol. OU Sake will not be responsible for any allergic reaction students might have during or soon after the course. Students who are under medical treatment or suffer from diseases which are incompatible with alcohol consumption, pregnant women and people under the legal age to purchase and consume alcohol in the country will not be allowed to sample any alcoholic beverages as part of their course.
